WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION Bees Wax is a magical material, suitable for painting on various surfaces, including bisque ware and wood. This beginning to advanced workshop is aimed for those of you who are curious to either learn, or expand your creative voice in new ways. If you are a beginner, you will learn about all the tools and techniques and come away with several pieces ready to hang. You may bring your own bisque ware, 2D or 3D, or use what will be provided in the way of tiles, or cradled wood panels. A power point will be given to include historical as well as encaustics in contemporary art with 2D and 3-D applications Techniques will include:
Karen Meadows has been creating encaustic paintings for over 15 years and has given many workshops. She approaches art making with joy and experimentation, especially taking advantage of “Happy Accidents” as unique learning moments! Questions?
